Briefly... Andrew Aki is in his second season of LMU men's water polo after serving a redshirt season in 2006... At LMU... 2006... redshirt season... High School... Graduated from Punahou School in 2006... participated with both the water polo and swim programs... a two-time ILH Player of the Year selection, earning it in the 2004 and 2005 seasons... also earned California-Hawaii All-American honors those two seasons, earning fourth-team as a junior and third-team as a senior... was a four-time ILH All-Star selection, earning first-team honors his final three seasons... also played for the Hawaiian Islands Water polo Team... in 2003 he helped the Under-16 Team win the Hawaiian Islands Water Polo Tournament and was named MVP... in 2004 he was awarded the Brad Yim Award as the best male water polo player at the Hawaiian Islands Tournament... as a senior he was a state finalist for the swim team in the 100-yard breast stroke and the 200-yard IM... Personal... Andrew Ka'ikaika'ho'okahi Aki was born on Nov. 3, 1987 in Honolulu, HI... he is the son of Jinny Aki... was involved in community service, volunteering at multiple water polo clinics, working with the Salvation Army and with a local Headstart preschool... a Pre-Dentistry major. |
