    Briefly... Brian Locke is in his third season of collegiate golf at LMU... named one of the top-50 players in collegiate golf by Golf World Magazine... ranked 47th in the nation by GolfWeek.com...

    At LMU...
    2006-07...named third-team All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America, who releases their annual PING Division I All-America teams... Locke became the first player in LMU golf history to earn All-America honors and he makes a move up to the third-team this season thanks to another record setting year. He won the 2007 West Coast Conference Individual Championship, the first player in league history to become a repeat champion... The win in the WCC tournament was his fourth on the season, taking home the tournament title at the Bill Cullum Intercollegiate (Oct. 31), Hawaii Fall Intercollegiate (Nov. 8), and the Cuesta Title Intercollegiate (Mar. 30)...He earned the top individual seed in the NCAA West Regional, his second straight regional appearance. He finished the tournament tied for seventh with a three-round 203. The 13-under par set the school record for low score in 56 holes. He posted rounds of 69, 67 and 67 and was just one of four players in the regional to post three straight rounds under 70...In his career, Locke has played in 23 events, earning a top-20 finish in 20 of those tournaments. He has six tournament wins in six years with 12 top-five finishes. He has a career average of 71.5 after posting a 71.0 this season.

    2005-06... was a Golf Coaches Association of America All-American, earning honorable mention honors... had the best season in LMU men's golf history with a 72.1 average in 30 rounds... he earned WCC Player of the Year, WCC Freshman of the Year, LMU Athlete of the Year and LMU Freshman of the Year honors... became the first Lion to win the WCC Championship (4-18-05), shooting a six-under 210, running away with the title thanks to a final round 64... shot a 64 twice on the season, the other coming in his first collegiate win at the Santa Clara Invitational (10-25-05)... finished with a 205 (11-under)...had nine top-20 finishes, five top-five finishes... led the Lions with 15 rounds under par... placed tied for second with a 213 in second meet of collegiate career at the Boise State Bronco Invitational (10-11-05)... earned a tie for third with another 213 (3-under par) at the Cal Poly Intercollegiate (3-24-06) to set-up his WCC title... shot a 206 at the NCAA West Regional (5-20-06), going 10-under and placing in a tie for fifth... in his final two rounds he hit a 67 and a 69... went for a 220 (4-over) in three rounds at the NCAA Championships...

    High School... graduated from St. Bernard High School in Playa del Rey, Calif., in 2005 with a 3.62 GPA... was a four-year letter winner in both golf and soccer and played baseball for one year... named the South Bay Daily Breeze inaugural Golfer of the Year as a senior... best individual golfer from the area, claiming sixth place at the 2005 CIF State Championship tournament... shot an even-par 72 in the championship and qualified with a three-over-par 75 at Seacliff Country Club in the Southern Divisional Tournament... in the CIF Southern Section individual championship he posted another even-par 72 at Canyon Country Club in Palm Springs... qualified for the CIF-SCGA Southern Regional with a four-under par 68... claimed his third Del Rey League Championship this past season by dominating the league, leading the way in all six dual matches with a scoring average of 34.6 per nine holes... he shot a seven-under par at the league final... competed in the American Junior Golf Association Invitational, finishing the tournament tied for third with an eight-under-par 280, just two strokes off the lead... was named an All-American as a junior and was a four-time All-Del Rey League performer... in soccer he as a three-time All-Camino Real League selection...
